Stuff Edgar Says

Upon being asked by his father about the presence of voting booths at his school: "If they vote Yes, they're gonna tear the school down. If they vote No, they'll leave it up." Describing a treasure map: "First you go north for a long time, than you go south for a long time." (No place like home). While opening a birthday present from Aunt Jean (a hand-made Mighty Eagle a la Angry Birds): "Oh my dear mama!"

It was back in March when we met Aaron and Annie's new baby (Aunt Cathy's first Grandson). Edgar was happy to hold Joe for about a minute... 

 
and then he wanted to see:

 "How would he feel sitting somewhere else?"

It's Spring!

Which means we head to downtown Minneapolis by light rail. This time our destination is to watch the Harlem Globetrotters play the Washington Generals at the Target Center.

First the train, then lunch in the IDS Building's Crystal Court.

Then a little running around and exploring.

And finally the game. You'll never guess who won.

Mill City

With Mom sick in bed with the flu, Edgar and his dad hit the Mill City Museum. Enjoying everything from the Betty Crocker Kitchen to the Flour Tower, they had a great day. Mom did not.

During Ballare Teatro's Winter production of Isabella Saves the World, Edgar danced for approximately a minute and a half—but we still think he stole the show.

It's been a while—but now we are back and ready to share what we did this Winter besides hibernate.

'Twas the Week Before Christmas

..and we're cozying up with the grandparents. Some shots from Nana and Opa's last weekend (reading The Three Little Pigs and making ceramics on the iPad).

The Senses

Edgar's Kindergarten class (all of them, actually) had an Open House yesterday morning. The theme was the five senses, and everyone was invited to go from room to room for activities and learning exercises.

The kids sang a more sense-based version of Head, Shoulders, Knees and Toes to top it all off.

Then they showed off the toys they had made in advance, with Edgar having created a cool robot!

Snowy

What to do on a snowy December day on the eve of your mom's birthday and just weeks before Christmas? Well, Edgar had a few ideas. In between morning dance class and seeing Tangled in the evening, Edgar watched parts of Yellow Submarine for the first time, picked out a tree for the holidays, and did a lot of playing.
