In honor of Kathy O's everywhere, today we enjoyed some time at Kathio State Park on the south end of Lake Mille Lacs. We split our time between climbing a fire lookout tower and frolicking in the swimming hole (It was around 90° here in the city, so we decided to head north for the day). We also squeezed in a little horse-meeting-and-greeting while we were there.
BTW, those are sand-based scale models of the ancient Roman Coliseum and some Egyptian pyramids, made with beach-toy molds from the drugstore.
