We're Number ONE!
At least in shuffleboard. On Saturday, Edgar's dad -- with a lot of encouragement from his family -- became the Minnesota State Shuffleboard Champ for 2010.

Eighth Anniversary!
Edgar's mom and pop celebrated their their eighth wedding anniversary this week on February 23. That night, the whole family had dinner with Grammy, Aunt Cathy, and Uncle Mark. Then, on Friday, Edgar stayed with Nana and Opa while his folks went out on a rare date.
Eight years is the "ceramic" anniversary, so Edgar's mom got his dad this swell snail!

Inaugural Bike Ride, Spring '09
Edgar worked up a thirst on his first venture with his bike -- the Gremlin -- this spring. Maybe the extra wheels will be able to come off this year.

Papa's Music
Sometimes, when everyone else is in bed, Daddy spends the wee hours making music.
Here's a sample called 6 Billion Camera Angles by one of his bands -- The Passersby (Edgar graces the album cover, below).

Mom's Roots (New York Trip: IV)
Perhaps the most mind-blowing moments of the trip were those when we visited Julia's childhood homes. She lived on the Upper West Side (first image) until she was six months old, at which time her family moved to Robinhood Road, in the suburb of White Plains (the rest of the photos). At the White Plains house, we discovered that there was much work afoot -- the current owners are expanding the kitchen and doing lots more. Julia found her name scratched in the side steps (look closely), and even got to go inside. While the significance was lost on Edgar, we record it here for posterity. Thanks to Tim and Boris for driving us up to White Plains!

The first one was taken on her 40th birthday during a blizzard in New York.
In the second, she's on a beach in Wellfleet (Cape Cod).
